The words “Natural Health” are thrown around so seamlessly in today’s culture. But how many of us know the true meaning of “Natural Health”? We’ve been programmed to look for words like “natural” and “organic” when it comes to products to make us feel better about our purchases… better about our consumption… and better about our habits. Billion dollar corporations have not only caught on to the “natural” fixation, they’ve also created their own definition. These corporate monsters have convinced us that processed food can still be natural. Nothing could be further from the truth. Unfortunately, we’ve become such a fabricated society, most of us wouldn’t know natural if it hit us in the face. This doesn’t only center on food… it’s all encompassing. From the products that you use on your body to the clothes you wear, you are surrounded by the unnatural.
A true natural diet promotes revitalization within the body instead of destruction and dis-ease.
We’ve lost our connection with nature. Through that detachment, we’ve hindered our ability to utilize our intuitive gifts and recognize the wisdom of our body. Our natural instincts have become severely clouded. Naturally, we are frugivores. Our closest relatives in nature are apes. We share the most DNA with chimpanzees and bonobos; roughly 98.8%. They are frugivores, but they haven’t lost their connection to nature. From a physiological standpoint, there’s no denying our frugivore nature. We’re attracted to color. Sweetness is our preferred taste. Our digestive system is built to digest fruits optimally. So the closer we get to consuming our natural diet, the closer we can get to natural health. Fruit doesn’t have ingredients that need to be labeled. They are the epitome of “natural”.
When our diet consists of a majority, if not a fully raw whole food diet consisting of fruits and leafy greens, we thrive! This provides the body with a surplus of vital energy without the burden of heavy digestion. I call this Energy Efficiency. The profit and loss system of the body. A body with a surplus of vital energy is able to heal itself at a high rate and rebuild cells and tissue. A true natural diet promotes revitalization within the body instead of destruction and dis-ease. This allows our body to get into deeper levels of detoxification and gets us on the path to true health, aka balance.
It’s time we reconnect with nature… understand that while technological advances provide convenience, they will never replace your natural self. We will never outsmart or outdo nature. Everything we need is already provided and nature is plentiful.
